Do you want to visit your favorite European destinations with reduced documents?
This is exciting news for all of us and it is called the ETIAS Visa. It is a new type of Visa that will be used in the EU countries very soon.
The ETIAS application will only take you 10 minutes to fill out and will have questions regarding the most basic information about you (name, address, citizenship, etc.).
Individuals under 18 years old can’t apply. Their legal guardian must apply for them instead.
Why was the ETIAS visa created and how does it benefit the Schengen countries?
The monitoring and gathering of information of travel is what ETIAS will focus on.
With this monitoring of people who enter and exit the Schengen countries threats will be detected much easier.
Non-EU citizens can move freely across Schengen area countries after they obtain an ETIAS (European Travel Information and Authorization System) visa.
They can do business and visit the place, they can also visit relatives and go in these states for medical reasons.
If you want a positive response by the ETIAS system then you have to make sure that you have given the correct answers.
There are many sites that work with ETIAS and they will check your application if it seems suspicious.
What questions will you be asked on the application form?
Questions about the period of your stay will be asked for the ETIAS.
This authorization might be valid for approximately 3 years or it will be valid as long as all your other documents will also be valid. The system will evaluate which period you will get.
In case you’ve submitted your application and you’ve gotten back a message of rejection there will be reasons of explaining this decision.
Try to reapply by making sure you avert those problems and submit all the documents needed.
How many countries will need to have an ETIAS Visa to travel?
Momentarily, there are 60 countries that will need to fill out an online ETIAS application when they wish to visit the Schengen states.
These citizens can travel through Europe without a visa but this will change when ETIAS goes into service soon.
